My story

SPECIAL NEEDS DOG: In early March 2025 Polo was relinquished to AHF by his owner as he was having seizures and the Emergency Room Vet partnered with us to find him a home as he should be fine with medication treatment. We are happy to report that on oral seizure medication, Keppra, every 12 hours ($20.00 a month), Polo has been seizure free and is ready to be adopted! He is very handsome with his recent grooming, and he has been neutered. Polo is all personality! He loves to be with his people to play or cuddle. He is excellent at retrieving his stuffies! Polo is good with other dogs, but his experience with cats is unknown. He is a small poodle mix about 8 pounds, so can easily be transported. Families with older children (small children might accidentally hurt him) or adults would be best. He walks on a leash, is housebroken and pad trained. As long as he is maintained on the medication, he should enjoy a full life.
