My story

Hi, I’m Archie! I'm just two years old. I'm part Irish Setter, part Golden Retriever, and 60 lbs of fun! General Behavior: Archie is a sweet, and goofy guy. He has a lot of energy but at the end of the day loves to cuddle up on the couch with his family. He is everyone's friend: if you have a gathering, he'll charm all your guests, and he is very patient when waiting for his turn for food and treats. Likes & Dislikes: This playful pooch loves the tennis ball the most and could play fetch all day. He also enjoys going outside and hunting for lizards and has amazing focus. Training:  Archie is one smart cookie! He is very intelligent and knows, sit, paw, and almost knows down, and stay. He also has good basic manners. He is housetrained if let out regularly, he is a good passenger in the car, and he sleeps in the people bed at night. He could just use a little more practice leash-walking. Medical: Archie is a healthy guy! He just needs his monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Other Animals: Archie plays well with all other dogs he's met, from daschunds to pit bulls. He has not been observed around cats yet, but his current foster thinks he'd be OK with them. Children: This friendly guy has been good with all the children he has met, of all ages.  Home: Archie would do well in almost any sort of home, but he does need to be observed around pools. He goes in the shallow end of the pool but needs to work on his swimming skills in deeper water. Grooming: Archie will need to be brushed regularly but he should not need too much elaborate grooming. Overall: Archie is a wonderful dog who is looking for an active, loving family who will give him the great life he deserves. Adopt Archie, and you'll always have the luck of the Irish (Setters). Visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. He is up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. His adoption donation is $500. ##2479902##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Archie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
