My story

Hi! I’m Zoey, a 7-year-old Hound and Pointer blend girl who weighs 55 pounds.  I love adventures, toys, and furry friends to play with but most of all, I love people.  I’m a loyal soul with lots of love to give to a family who loves big dogs with big hearts! General Behavior: Zoey loves affection and is happiest when she is with her people.  She’s a playful and sometimes goofy girl who’s been known to roll off the couch while playing with her toys, surprising even herself!  She’s a faithful protector of her home and will let her humans know when someone is at the door or in the yard. Likes & Dislikes: Zoey loves people more than anything and prefers to have someone home more often than not.  She loves her toys, too – the more the better! Training: Zoey is house-trained and has good basic manners.  She sleeps happily in her dog bed at night and enjoys a car ride.  She’ll need more practice with leash walking. Medical: Zoey is a healthy girl who just needs her heartworm and flea/tick preventive medicines like any pup. Other Animals: This extroverted girl gets along well with dogs of all sizes as well as cats. Children: Zoey is great with older kids (ages 8+). Home: Zoey would do best in a single-family home given her “communication skills.”  She can be left alone in the house in a secure place for short periods with no issues. Grooming: This beautiful short-haired girl is low maintenance when it comes to grooming - baths and nail trims are all she needs.
