My story

**NEEDS FOSTER / FOSTER-TO-ADOPT!** Luke is a special senior! He is a 12-year-old Westie-terrier mix from NYC, and he is the embodiment of companionship. After a past filled with neglect, and a short adoption resulting in a return, this sweet 19-pound senior is back in foster care and craving a forever home.  Previously in our care, Luke was a shadow to his foster mom, cherishing every shared moment, from leisurely walks to his favorite pastime: snuggling! Whether it's on the couch during the day or nestled beside you in bed at night, Luke's happiness is truly found in your presence. Luke understands the art of companionship, living harmoniously with another senior dog, around his size, and respecting their individual spaces, although Luke would prefer to be the only dog! He is mostly house-trained, but will need an adopter who can offer consistency in a schedule. Luke simply asks for patience as he continues to learn that good things are here to stay. This sweet senior, with his "happy-go-lucky" charm, is seeking a compassionate home—ideally with older children or no children—where he can continue to build on the secure bonds he now cherishes, living out his remaining years showered with the companionship he so deeply deserves. Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, bordetella, and Lepto. Neutered and microchipped.
