My story

Meet Duana – a lovely black and white lady with a story as unique as her name. She was discovered riding in style… in the local animal control truck! Inspired by the “boss man” AC officer Duane, she proudly carries his name with a feminine twist. Duana is as sweet as they come — gentle, affectionate, and always happy to share her calm presence. Whether she’s curled up in a cozy spot or soaking up your attention, she has a knack for making any space feel warmer just by being there. If you’re looking for a loving, laid-back companion with a special backstory, Duana is ready to trade in her truck rides for a forever home filled with love. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
