My story

Meet Blume – a beautiful grey and black tabby with a personality worthy of her namesake. Like the beloved characters in a Judy Blume novel, she’s bold, independent, and knows exactly what she wants… and when she wants it. Blume is the type of cat who writes her own story — she’ll happily claim your lap for cuddles, then decide it’s time for an adventure across the house. She loves attention, and when she’s in the mood, she’ll make sure you know it with a gentle head bump or a purr that could fill a whole chapter. If you’re looking for a feline leading lady who can bring a little drama, a lot of love, and endless charm to your life, Blume is ready to be the heroine of your next great adventure. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
