My story

🚨🐾 BIG DOG ENERGY INCOMING! 🐾🚨Ever wondered what a Tibetan Mastiff + Great Pyrenees mix might look like? WELL... let us introduce you to FRED (aka Clifford the Big Red Dog 🐶❤️), and trust us, he's every bit as massive, majestic, and memorable as that name implies.Fred is just 17 months old and already a showstopper-he's got the fluff, the size, and the presence of a mythological beast crossed with a cuddle monster. But don't let the teddy bear vibes fool you... Fred is still figuring out this strange thing called "the world," and he's not quite sure how he feels about strangers just yet.🚧 What you need to know:Fred has shown that slow introduction work best, he is not comfortable with everyone. New people = suspicious. Loud noises = confusing. Surprises = nope. He needs time, patience, and people who understand that trust takes time (and snacks, lots of snacks).Because of this, ideally Fred needs:🛑 A home without young kids or a parade of visitors.🌳 Space to stretch those long legs and that equally long tail.🏡 A secure setup with structure, routines, and management for guests.🧠 Guardians committed to working on desensitization and helping him feel safe.📍In the kennel, Fred has made it clear: he's overwhelmed and cautious. This behaviour is likely to continue in the home, which is why we're putting a HUGE emphasis on safety, proper intros, and slow trust-building.He's not for everyone-but for the right person or family, Fred will be an incredible, loyal, unforgettable companion.So... think you're ready to welcome your very own Clifford? Fill out the pre-adoption questionnaire. Let's find this gentle giant the space-and the support-he needs to thrive. ❤️🐕 Primary Color: Red Secondary Color: White Weight: 44.7 Age: 1yrs 5mths 2wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Fred, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
