My story

🐾 Meet Max - Your Future Gentle Giant 🐾Hi there, I'm Max - a big-hearted, goofy young guy (just 21 months old!) with a lot of love to give and a whole new world to explore.I'm part Great Pyrenees, which means I've got the size, fluff, and charm of a gentle guardian - but don't let my size fool you. Deep down, I'm still very much a big puppy who's figuring things out as I go. You see, I spent the early part of my life chained up, so being part of a loving home is still pretty new to me. But every day I'm learning how wonderful it feels to be free, cared for, and part of something special.🐕 Dog-FriendlyI've met dogs of all sizes and get along well with most of them - though I especially enjoy the company of dogs around my own size. I don't mind sharing space, but I also wouldn't mind being the only pup in your life if that's what works best. I'm pretty easygoing when it comes to making friends.🐾 A Big Pup Still LearningBecause of my rough start, I didn't get a lot of early training, so I can still be a bit rambunctious - especially when I'm excited. But I'm eager to learn! I'm already improving on leash, discovering all the amazing smells the world has to offer, and I love anything that involves food and positive reinforcement. I'm also kennel-trained and a total rock star in my crate.👁️ About My Eyes (Pannus)I've been diagnosed with Pannus, a manageable eye condition that requires regular medicated eye drops to keep my vision healthy. It may sound like a big deal, but with consistent care and a guardian who understands my needs, I'll live a full and happy life. The team here is more than happy to talk you through what's involved.💙 Because of my medical needs, we're open to waiving my adoption fee for the right home.🌾 The Ideal HomeI'd thrive in a home with space to roam - maybe a farm, acreage, or a large securely fenced yard (bonus points if your fences are tall - I'm a bit of a jumper!). I need a family that can match my energy, continue my training, and give me the love and structure I missed out on early in life.If you're kind, patient, and looking for a loyal companion who'll repay you with giant-sized love, I just might be your guy.Let's meet soon - I can't wait to start this next chapter with you. ❤️ Primary Color: White Secondary Color: White Weight: 44.8 Age: 1yrs 10mths 0wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Max, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
