My story

IRIS | 62 lb | 1 year old | Quiet and gentle | Cat and dog friendly| Toronto Is your household vibe chill, mellow, and calm? Do you appreciate an easy pace, a relaxed atmosphere, company that is compatible, easy, and sweet? If so, you must meet Iris! This girl is the comfort of a lazy Sunday morning coffee and the relief of finally stretching out on the couch in your sweats after a long day at work. She's easy and low-maintenance, equally happy to cuddle or do her own thing. Iris was found as a stray when a young pup and lived outdoors until she could come into our care. She's now getting used to all the pleasures of living in a home: she loves to receive and return kisses, and if you put your arm around her, she'll immediately roll into a cuddle position with her belly up! She is adapting quickly to all kinds of new things like stairs and walking on a leash. Iris is shy on first meeting but bonds and gets comfortable. She immediately warms to dogs, and would be very well suited to life with another dog. A balanced dog would be a wonderful guide to give her confidence as she explores and discovers. She's also excellent with cats, and would be a great cat sister. Iris is low to medium energy and really undemanding. She'd be so happy in an adult-only home in a quieter neighbourhood. This girl asks for little and gives so much. We can't wait to see her settled with her forever family, bringing beauty and sweetness to their days just like her flower namesake!
