My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog C:7Hoss – Your Fetch-Loving, Snuggle-Ready Buddy Hoss is a 3-year-old, 58-pound male American Pit Bull Terrier who’s equal parts athlete and affectionate companion. If you’re looking for a dog who lives for fetch and loves a good cuddle session, Hoss might be your perfect match. Fetch champion: Hoss is a true pro—he’ll chase after a ball, catch it mid-air or off the bounce, and drop it right at your feet, ready for the next round. He may take short breaks to chew on his tennis ball on his bed, but he’s always game for more. Sweet and affectionate: Once playtime pauses, Hoss enjoys leaning in for affection. Lower yourself to his level, and you’ll be met with gentle snuggles and a soft gaze. Polite with others: Hoss ignores nearby dogs who pass respectfully and shows good social manners from a distance. Working on leash skills: While he currently pulls strongly on leash, he’s eager to explore and would benefit from continued training. He also shows signs of being house-trained. Hoss would do well with appropriately matched dog companions or as a solo dog with friendly canine friends.
