My story

Meet Wile E., a strikingly handsome 1 year old neutered male Aussie mix, weighing about 40 lbs!  We think he may have some husky in him as well.  His unique breed mix resembles a coyote, hence his name! This sweet boy was picked up as a stray in east TN and taken into rescue. He was placed in a loving foster home and has just arrived in New England, where he hopes to find his furever home soon! Wile E. is timid at first, but he warms up quickly.  He is tentative but curious with new people.  Once he knows you are safe, he is very sweet and playful too!  He is good with people and dogs.  Due to his shy/timid nature, we recommend older kids 10+ who know to respect a dog's space.  He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. He is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. With patience and love, Wile E. will thrive and become a loyal companion. Those beautiful eyes are irresistible! As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
