"The Ultimate Adventure Buddy!" Are you ready to add some joy to your life?! Meet Dottie, a beautiful 9 month old spayed female Australian Cattle Dog/Rat Terrier mix! Born to mama Bessie on June 4, 2024, Dottie is one of the "7 Cowgirl Puppies." DNA testing on her sister confirms their primary breeds as  Australian Cattle Dog, Rat Terrier,and Australian Shepherd. Dottie is a petite girl weighing about 25 lbs, she may fill out a little bit more but we don't expect her to get much bigger. Dottie is a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly and is a very sweet, loving pup! She walks great on leash and is always up for a play session! She is good with other dogs and people (she has a high prey drive so no cats for this girl). Due to her breed mix and herding instincts, we recommend older kids 8+, or families experienced with herding breeds. Dottie is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (she has occasional accidents when not kept on a schedule), and crate trained (she LOVES her crate!).  Apply to meet this special girl today and get ready for a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and unconditional love!  Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
