Meet Athena (aka Runa), a stunning 1.5 year old spayed female shepherd/husky mix with a soft, fluffy coat and soulful eyes that will melt your heart! She is a medium sized dog, weighing about 43 lbs. Athena is a very friendly, energetic girl who wants to befriend everyone she meets, however she is still learning manners and boundaries. She loves other dogs, but she plays rough and can be a bit much for some dogs. Due to her exuberant spirit, she would do best in a home with older kids 8+, as she may unintentionally knock over small children. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats. Athena would thrive in a home with a fenced in yard where she can run free and burn off energy! She's looking for a forever home where she can be part of the family and receive plenty of love, attention, and exercise. If you're an outdoor enthusiast or enjoy activities like hiking, jogging, or simply playing fetch, Athena would be delighted to join you. With her intelligence and eagerness to please, she's also a great candidate for training and agility activities. She is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply today to meet this lovable girl and see if she's the perfect match for you! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2041208##
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Athena, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
