**SEPTEMBER SPECIAL** This dog is eligible for $100 off the listed adoption fee, valid through the end of September! Offer applies to select dogs only, and adoption must be finalized by 9/30/2025 to take advantage of this offer. Meet Dobby, a friendly ~1 year old spayed female Australian Cattle Dog/Basenji mix! This girl is the perfect size and full grown at about 40 lbs. She has the BEST giant ears, which is how she earned her name! Dobby is a very sweet, friendly girl who LOVES other dogs, people, and kids! Due to her exuberant nature, we recommend older kids 8/9+, as she may unintentionally knock over a small child. She attended doggy daycare while being fostered in TN, and she got along well with all of the dogs there. She is currently being fostered in CT with two 120 lb Great Pyrs who she also gets along very well with! She loves to play with her doggo friends and would be thrilled to have another young, playful pup to share her home with. Dobby does ok with dog savvy cats (will initially bark at them and will chase if they run, but she responds well to being told NO and has learned to respect the cat in her foster home). She is an energetic girl who loves to play with other dogs, she also loves toys and a good game of tug! She would love a fenced in yard of her own to get out her zoomies. Dobby would make an excellent hiking and/or running buddy, she would love to join you on all of your adventures and then nap on the couch with you afterwards (she loves to snuggle!). She also walks very well on leash and is not a big puller (unless she sees a squirrel or other critter). From Dobby: "Ok. Let’s talk… from Herself, Dobbies diaryI’m a complete package. I’m house trained. I go to bed and stay there as long as you are in the same room with me. I know the commands sit and off really well. I play well with other dogs and cats (although the cat wants to bite me, rude I know). I might cry a little when put in the crate, but I don’t want to miss out on play time. I settle when my human says no. I love to play fetch and go for walks. The neighborhood kids love me who are at least age 9. The little ones get nervous when I jump because I’m so excited to see them. I do calm down in a couple of minutes. They do like me when i follow them around. Big events aren’t my thing but who can blame me. I was a stray. I want to find my peeps." Dobby is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. Apply to meet this special girl today! She is SO deserving of a furever home of her own! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2455233##
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dobby, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
