Meet Dobby, a friendly ~1 year old spayed female Australian Cattle Dog/Basenji mix! This girl is the perfect portable size and full grown at about 35 lbs. She has the BEST giant ears, which is how she earned her name! Dobby is a very sweet, friendly girl who loves other dogs, people, and kids! She attended doggy daycare while being fostered in TN, and she got along well with all of the dogs there. She is currently being fostered in CT with two 120 lb Great Pyrs who she also gets along very well with! Dobby does ok with dog savvy cats (will initially bark at them and will chase if they run, but she responds well to being told NO and has learned to respect the cat in her foster home). She is an energetic girl who loves to play with other dogs, she also loves toys and a good game of tug! She would love a fenced in yard of her own to get out her zoomies. Dobby would make an excellent hiking and/or running buddy, she would love to join you on all of your adventures and then nap on the couch with you afterwards! She also walks very well on leash and is not a big puller (unless she sees a squirrel or other critter). From Dobby: "Dobby Diary: I am a snuggler. I would snuggle all day long or play for hours. I’m flexible. I listen to my foster parents. I know I’m allowed on furniture but not on the bed. I’m a smart cookie. Louie the cat and I ignore each other as long as Louie doesn’t want mom’s attention. Then I must stand up for my petting rights and protest." Dobby is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. Apply to meet this special girl today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2455233##
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dobby, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
