My story

Zara will zazz up your life! This gentle girl was part of a trio of cats that were surrendered to EHS when their owner passed away and there wasn’t anyone to take care of them. Zara was understandably sad and nervous when she first arrived along with her companions, Molly and Bobby, but now she has adjusted to shelter life and is showing everyone her true, radiant self! ABOUT ZARA- At shelter- Although timid at first, Zara has proven herself to be “such a social girl,” always interested in what is happening outside her door. This friendly feline will often greet visitors with a leg rub (or several).- Zara has been described by shelter volunteers as “great with visitors,” “interacts well,” and “very friendly.” She has also been observed as being very gentle and patient with kids.- Zara enjoys sitting on laps and getting pets, belly rubs, chin scratches, and especially cheek scratches.- This sweet girl can be very cuddly and loves lots of attention. You may also get some purrs or head bonks as a thank you! - Zara has proven herself to be a chatty cat who isn’t afraid to let volunteers know when it is time to feed her—and how much.- Zara love, love, loves to play! Wand toys are a favourite for her.- She enjoys relaxing on the windowsill while looking outside, and on sunny days, she also likes sunbathing.- Zara looks elegant in her black and white fur, and she is happy for you to help her keep it that way. This beauty LOVES having her silky coat brushed!- When she isn’t busy observing, playing, or socializing, Zara enjoys spending time in her bed, resting up before her next visitor arrives!- Zara has been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.ZARA’S IDEAL HOME- Zara would do well with another feline friend (maybe Bobby?) and could also be adopted on her own as she does enjoy getting all the attention sometimes!- Zara has had no exposure to dogs, or other pets, so we are unsure how she would do with them.
