Meet Langston, Langston came to us from our local animal care and control. He is the sweetest boy but can be a little timid for the first 24-48 hours or so. Once he is out of his shell, he is READY. Langston is listed as special needs due to the fact that he is on medication. He is currently on Zonisamide to control his seizures. This medication is costing us about 18-20 dollars a month. Things we have learned about Langston: - He is doing well with learning a new routine when it comes to potty training. He is currently going outside every 5 hours of so. - He does well in the crate when you are out of the house. He is working on being more confident when it comes to being in his crate while you are home. - He does do well on a leash and in a yard! He can be a little bit of a flight risk so we have to be careful when opening the front door if he is not distracted. - He LOVES dogs. He is so playful and enjoys having a friend. He would love to have another friend in the household or a family that is willing to continue socializing him. - He will require brushing and grooming so his forever household should be prepared for that. Langston is currently being fostered by one of our foster in the burbs. He is accepting applications anywhere in Chicago or within 3 hours of Chicago. His adoption fee includes his vaccines, up to date preventatives, heartworm negative, recent bloodwork, neuter and microchip. If you are interested in being considered a potential home for Langston, apply directly. If you have any questions before applying, email adopt@chicagorescueauthority.org.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Langston, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
