My story

Ready or not, it’s time to meet me, 6 year old Pluto!I am a gentle giant Great Dane with a heart as big as my paws. I am very healthy, active and staff say that I act younger than my age. I had a minor surgical procedure recently and healed quite well so now I am ready to get out of the shelter to start enjoying life with you!I am a sweet boy, and my breed is known for making fabulous pets and loyal companions. My joyful spirit, goofy grin, intelligence, calmness and loyal temperament make me a wonderful family dog. I am attentive, proud and will sit patiently for a treat.I am total cuddle bug who loves belly rubs and quiet naps by the side of a trusted human. I would thrive in a home or on a ranch where I am the only dog. When I am in the presence of another dog, I react by moving my weight around. Therefore, I am ideal for an individual who can handle a big strong dog, appreciate my mellow nature and enjoy sharing their couch with me. While my life span is less than that of a smaller dog, please remember that any time spent with a Great Dane is worthwhile. I was unable to stay in my former living situation, and I am ready to bond closely with a new family.
