Hi, my name is Bubby. I am from Alabama. This sweet 10-year-old, 9-pound bundle of joy is full of personality and love. Bubby is housebroken and crate trained, he sleeps soundly through the night. Like many small male dogs, he does like to mark, so we recommend using a belly band when he's indoors. He gets along great with other dogs and is gentle with kids, making him a wonderful companion for a variety of homes. Bubby is currently on long-term pain medication to help manage his luxating patellas, and it helps keep him comfortable and happy. One of Bubby’s favorite things? A good bath and some cuddle time afterward, he soaks up the love and attention! If you're looking for a loyal, low-key pup with lots of love to give, Bubby might just be your perfect match. Reach out to us to learn more about this little guy, we’d love to introduce you! From the Vet: Bubby is an older gentleman that came to The BB Vet Center with concerns for his skin and dental disease. His skin infection was likely due to some sort of external parasite/allergy. He was on an antibiotic and steroid medication to treat this along with a medicated shampoo for a few weeks. The skin is rechecked and is better healed, so he has been cleared for neuter and dental surgery. He may have some visual impairment, but he is still able to see despite the diagnosis of nuclear sclerosis wh is just a term for the haze over his eyes you may see. This is just a common age related change to the eyes and does not need treatment at this time. Bubby was also diagnosed with knees with MPL's or medial luxating patellas where the kneecaps slide out of place. Because of his age and significant arthritis, it is unknown how well this would serve Bubby's best interest and quality of life so we will focus on comfort care with pain medications, joint supplements etc. TBB has elected to not pursue orthopedic surgery for Bubby and instead focus on his dental surgery to make sure his mouth is comfortable. TBB will agree to cover 1 technician appointment to recheck blood work + 1 dental recheck appointment as determined necessary by TBB or an approved veterinary partner. Any other care will be the responsibilty of the adopter. We are just so excited to get this special guy into his best and most beautiful chapter of life! My adoption fee has been sponsored by Blue Buffalo. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $300.00 will be applied during the contract process.
