My story

Hi, I'm Dexter! First off, can I tell you I have an awesome purr? I will purr and love and cuddle to the touch. I also like to make biscuits in the air when I sleep. It's pretty funny because I'll sleep on my back and make biscuits. I guess I'm dreaming of that forever home where I receive a lot of love. I have a crazy side too, because you know I'm an orange kitty. I like to play with small toys that I can carry and even sometimes hide. But my favorite is the ball and the circle. That ball keeps coming back to me even though I swatted. Do you have a toy like that in your house? Maybe I can come and play with it. Are you interested in adopting Dexter or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received. Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org , faxed to 919-300-5524 or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center or Timber Drive next to Home Depot).
