My story

Meet this distinguished gentleman Tanque! Tanque is a sweet, friendly boy who’s ready to bring calm companionship to his forever home! This handsome pup greets people with a wagging tail and is easy to leash up for walks. He walks gently on the lead and even knows how to sit like a gentleman! Tanque has done well living with children and has shown himself to be a patient and tolerant companion, making him a great fit for a family environment! He enjoys being around people and seeks affection he happily accepted pets all over! When meeting another dog, Tanque was initially stiff but quickly loosened up and engaged in playful bowing, running, and sniffing. His tail stayed still, but his behavior was very friendly and appropriate! He showed he can make new canine friends with the right introductions, if you have a resident pup at home bring them by for a meet to ensure compatibility! Tanque is a well-rounded pup with a gentle demeanor, good leash skills, and a love for affection. Whether you`re looking for a walking buddy or a calm companion for your kids, Tanque just might be the right pup for you! Come meet him and see for yourself he’s ready to love and be loved! This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff! Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
