My story

Our vibrant Vivian is ready to meet you!Vivian came to us from another shelter, and she’s still adjusting to life at EHS. She’s taking this time to relax and settle in while she waits for her fur-ever home. While her tuxedo fur is great to look at, it`s off-limits until she gets to know you. Vivian is still trying to get comfortable around people, and she isn’t ready to have strangers putting their paws on her beautiful tux just yet. ABOUT VIVIAN- At shelter- Vivian is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans.- Vivian is currently enrolled in EHS’s socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help her become more comfortable around people.- Vivian should be approached slowly and patiently. She’s still learning that she’s safe and loved, so speak to her softly and let her get used to your presence.- She accepts pets with a back-scratcher once she`s comfortable with your company, although she hisses upon first approach. - Vivian is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.VIVIAN`S IDEAL HOME- Vivian needs patient adopters that are able to work with her while she becomes more confident.- A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children.- We are not yet sure how Vivian would get along with other animals.- Vivian is still learning how to relax around people, so she would appreciate an adopter who is familiar with cat body language.- Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Vivian settle into her new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Vivian with a successful transition to her forever home.Vivian needs a calm home where she can continue her journey towards trusting people! Might your home be the one? Come meet her at EHS and find out!If you have any questions about Vivian or the adoption process, please contact cats@etobicokehumanesociety.com

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Vivian, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
