My story

Steve and brother Martin are from a feral cat colony, where they were rescued at 8-weeks-old. Their rescuer made sure to get them socialized, neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Now at 3-mos-old, they are both ready for homes! Steve is quite playful and loves wand toys and scratching posts. He is more reserved than Martin and will need patience and time to warm up. He would do best in a quieter home that can still provide him with the activity and engagement he so enjoys. I suspect he will become even more social under the guidance of a patient, loving guardian. Steve can be startled by loud noises and may emit a little hiss but it's more a reaction than anything. He recovers relatively well and is VERY VERY food motivated. I believe treats and food will be the way to his heart! He has shown no aggression or rough play with myself or my 10-yr-old daughter. He has met my adult 10-yr-old cat and has been respectful. He has seen and heard my dogs but have not met yet. He would do well with other cats and would probably do best in a home without dogs or with very calm dogs. He does not need to be adopted with his brother, Martin. They are showing signs that they would be okay separated and do not rely on one another for safety or comfort. However, I feel he would do really well in a home with a confident, calm cat. (I think he would do fine with any cat, at this age).

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Steve Kitten, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
