Meet Mr. Moo (Moo-llennium Crunch) who can't do much crunching because we had to remove all his extremely rotten teeth! This sweet boy was at the shelter in Waco and nobody came for him. In addition to his dental disease (which he has an open fistula from that we are trying to resolve), he was also heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment.Moo has a great personality and was so excited to be rescued that he jumped in the driver's seat as if to say "I'm ready to go!". He is great with other other dogs, but can be possessive of his people. His current foster home has other dogs, a cat, and young children and Moo is in heaven in this environment, but he would truly thrive anywhere that he is given the attention he desserves.Because his dental disease was so severe, he is missing the front lower half of his jaw, and an adopter should be prepared to feed wet food blended into a soup for him at least twice daily for meals for the remainder of his life. His foster feeds him in the bathtub because he is quite messy as he's still learning what to do with his long tongue with minimal structure to his jaw. He absolutely has a veracious dachshund appetite though! To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Moo-llennium Crunch, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
