My story

ABOUT KIBA Kiba is a 2-year-old husky seeking a calm, loving home! He came to HAP when his previous owners could no longer care for him. He is currently thriving in a loving foster home, where his big personality has truly come to life. This charming boy is equal parts snuggle bug and adventurer. He loves going on long walks, playing with his favorite toys, and curling up in your lap for some quality cuddle time. In true husky fashion, Kiba is very expressive and always ready for a good conversation. Whether you’re venting about your day, raving about your favorite ice cream, or planning your next big adventure, Kiba is all ears and full of sass. He’s also super food-motivated and smart! Kiba already knows basic commands, walks well on a leash, and picked up house-training quickly in foster care. His eagerness to learn, combined with his love of treats, makes continued training a fun and rewarding experience. Kiba would prefer a home with older kids or adults and no small animals. He has shown curiosity in other dogs and is open to a dog meet! *Kiba is currently in foster, available for adoption by appointment! If you are interested in adopting Kiba, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
