Smudge (Bonded with Ink)

My story

Meet Smudge! Smudge came to HAP with her mama Ink when she was just a baby! At the time, Ink was being the best mama and still nursing baby Smudge so we kept them together until Smudge was bigger and stronger and ready to venture off on her own. However, we quickly learned that Ink and Smudge shared a special bond and that they would do best living out the rest of their lives together! Smudge and her baby are quick to seek each other out in new environments and Smudge always lets her mama clean her up. While Smudge is still a little on the nervous side but once she sees her mama accepting love, Smudge cautiously investigates and has gotten much better about being pet and held. Smudge and Ink have shared her space with other kittens as well as a few other adult cats but really just tolerated them and didn't interact much. So they would do fine as the only cats in the home or the two of them would do fine joining a cat family! Smudge has already come a long way and we're sure with some extra TLC and her mom by her side, she'll continue to grow into a wonderful companion so stop by today to see if this mama and baby would be the perfect addition to your family! If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
