My story

Meet Gold Rush! This shy but sweet lady is looking for a patient and gentle companion to help her blossom. Gold Rush walks beautifully on the leash and is slowly warming up to trail walks—once she gets going, she really enjoys them! She knows “sit,” though she may take her time (especially if treats are involved), and she appears house-trained at the shelter, which is always a plus! She has the absolute cutest ears, and if you make a silly sound, don’t be surprised if she perks them right up for you. Gold Rush is still building her confidence, so she’ll need someone who’s willing to go at her pace and let her take the lead as she learns to feel safe and loved. She’s a really good girl who enjoys her walk-time sniffs and quiet companionship. In the play yard, you’ll start to see her true personality peek through—she may roll over for belly rubs or even climb right into your lap for snuggles. It’s clear that Gold Rush has so much love to give—she’s just waiting for the right person to help her shine.She has met other dogs at the shelter and can be a little unsure, so she does best with calm, gentle friends. She will need to meet any potential doggie roommates to make sure they’re a good match.Come to BARCS to meet Gold Rush or one of her amazing friends!
