My story

Meet Hershey, a sweet and gentle little guy who’s already captured hearts at BARCS. Though initially shy in new environments, Hershey quickly begins to open up once he feels safe and cared for. With his affectionate nature and calm demeanor, he’s a natural cuddle buddy and a comforting presence.Hershey walks beautifully on a leash and is reported by his previous owner to be housebroken and good with children. He’s food motivated, knows the command “sit,” and is beginning to show more of his personality each day as he adjusts to his temporary foster home. In fact, he is starting to be a perfect cuddle-bug.He has been social with other dogs at the shelter, including small breeds, and has enjoyed polite interactions in playgroups. As he continues to settle in, more of his loving and gentle character is emerging.Hershey is currently residing in a foster home.
