My story

Micah is a happy, people-loving pup with a soft heart and a wagging tail for everyone he meets. He’s gentle with treats, loves to snuggle, and will thank you for pets with sweet kisses. While he’s still learning leash manners and might bounce up to say hello, he’s easily redirected and eager to please. Micah knows “sit,” enjoys treats, and is friendly with other dogs. This lovable goof is ready to find his forever home - meet him at ACCT Philly, open daily from 10 am to 6 pm BEHAVIOR 07/18/2025 volunteer notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Micah was sitting quietly at the front of his kennel. He took treats from me gently & happily wagged his tail when I showed him my leash. He retreated a bit when I opened the kennel but I was able to lasso him & with a few treats & a little leash pressure he walked to the front of his kennel. Another volunteer was taking out his mate Priest, & Micah was happy to hop out & follow Priest outside. LEASH SKILLS: Micah doesn’t appear to have spent a lot of time on a leash and he will pull, hard, & jump at you but he understand commands, and is easily redirected, and also gentle w the jumps - as if to simply say hello. on our walk back into the shelter he did much better staying by my side and not pulling at all. SOCIABILITY: This fella is friendly as can be. He LOVES people. We sat together in the yard and he allowed handling all over, thanking me with kisses. He knows sit, takes treats w a soft mouth, & loves to be close by. PLAY & TOYS: Chased a stuffie and a ball but did not retrieve or take possession.
