My story

Named after one of the strongest potato varieties, Kennebec may not look tough at first glance, but don’t be fooled. Beneath that shy exterior is a resilient little spud with so much love to give. Kennebec is very sweet but quite shy when you first meet her. New situations and new people can feel overwhelming, so she needs a calm, understanding home that’s willing to commit to her and give her the time and patience she needs to feel safe. Once she does, Kennebec blossoms into her truest potato self, gentle, affectionate, and quietly loyal. She does well with other cats and would love a feline friend to help her feel more confident. Kennebec isn’t loud or demanding. She’s the kind of cat who will sit nearby, observe the world, and slowly decide you’re her person. Kennebec is the definition of a slow burn, high reward cat. She’s not going to jump into your lap on day one, but if you give her love, consistency, and patience, you’ll earn something special. This sweet girl just needs someone willing to see past her shyness and believe in her. Don’t let this precious potato sit on the shelf too long. Kennebec is ready for a home where she can finally feel safe, loved, and appreciated.
