Rain

My story

came into the shelter with my siblings, Ash and Nugget. Ash found their home a while ago, and Nugget was just adopted. I was so happy for them… but I’ve been wondering when it’ll finally be my turn. I’ve spent my entire life in the shelter, since 2021. Because of that, I can be shy at first — new situations take me a little time to feel safe in. But once I do, I’ll show you just how special I am. Even when I’m feeling unsure, I like being near my people. I’m always watching what you’re doing from a comfortable distance, curious and quietly involved. I’m also very playful and get along wonderfully with other cats — especially kittens! Having a confident feline friend helps me feel more secure and brings out my best side. Rain recently moved into a foster home, and he’s been making incredible progress. With patience, time, and a cat buddy by his side, he’s learned to accept pets and has discovered a love for treats. He may be a little weird (in the charming, endearing way), but every day he becomes more confident and more comfortable being loved. While Rain would do best in a home with another cat to help him continue building confidence, he could also thrive as your one-and-only with a patient human who understands that trust takes time. Rain has waited so long for someone to choose him. If you’re looking for a gentle, playful, quietly loving cat and you believe in giving the underdog a chance, Rain might just be the one you’ve been waiting for. 💙 Currently in a foster home with another long term resident, Hippy. They could honestly do amazing if adopted together but is not a requirement
