My story

Rescued from a crowded shelter in Virginia on July 4th weekend, Liberty is off and running into her new life. Libby is a happy, wiggly young coonhound, 2 - 3 yrs old. She's petite at about 38 lbs. One of her caregivers in Virginia describer her: 'She is very sweet, very active and playful, good on her leash. She's slender and athletic, she'd be a good running companion. She loves people and wants to be with her humans. She'll make a great family pet.' Libby will arrive August 2. If you’d like to apply to adopt, please submit an application using the link below. Our dogs are in foster homes throughout the area or in some cases in the south waiting to be transported north. We do not have a physical shelter. Once we review your application one of our Adoption Counselors will be in touch to review it with you. Once the phone interview is completed, we will check your vet reference as well as a personal reference and conduct a home visit.
