My story

Meet Tom and Maddie, a bonded sibling pair of Ragdoll/Siamese mix cats! These two cuties are 5 years old and have been together since birth. They have been loved and well cared for but, due to changes in their family, their owner is no longer able to give them the time and attention that they deserve. Tom and Maddie are now searching for a new furever home, where they can spend the rest of their days together.  Both cats are very friendly, but Tom (aka Tommy) is more social. They play and sleep together. Maddie will hide and is shy at times, but warms up to new people after getting to know them. Tommy will walk right up to new people. Both cats like to play fetch with paper toys and have a puppy mindset. They are very sweet and affectionate cats who need a lot of pets and love. Both cats are spayed/neutered, medically up to date, and litter box trained. They would do best in a home with older kids 8+ who know to respect a cat's space, or no kids. They have not been around other cats or dogs, so we are unsure how they would do with other animals. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
