Meet Brady — 9 Pounds of Sass, Smarts, and Spunky Chihuahua Charm! 🐾 At 5 years old and a mighty 9 lbs, Brady is proof that big personalities come in small, hilariously dramatic packages. His foster mom calls him a “spitfire,” and honestly? That might be an understatement. 🐶 Personality Snapshot: • A Certified Goofball: Brady is quirky, silly, and will keep you entertained with his zoomies, gremlin noises, and general tomfoolery. • Part-Time Comedian, Full-Time Security Guard: Strange noise? Bark. Neighbor's dog? Bark. The trash truck? You better believe it. Brady takes guarding the home very seriously, so apartment life might not be ideal. • Culinary Enthusiast: Is food his love language? Absolutely. He doesn’t even need to eat it to be excited. Just watching you prep dinner or pour kibble for the cat sends him into joyful prance mode. • Exercise Buddy with Zoomie Credentials: This energetic guy loves walks (two a day, thank you), yard sprints, and basically anything that lets him strut his stuff. He’s not just cute—he’s cardio. • Plays Like a Puppy: Mouthy in a playful way, Brady has some puppy-like behaviors and isn't afraid to show them off. • Crate = Cozy Cave: Brady loves his crate. He goes in to chill, nap, zoom around in excitement—you name it. He even sleeps there at night like the perfect gentleman. • Bathroom Habits? Solid. He’s house-trained if given frequent potty breaks, and he’s a pro with pee pads. No messes on floors, rugs, or furniture. • Touch-Tolerant and Treat-Motivated: He’s comfortable being handled all over—ears, feet, belly, even his teeth. Harness on/off is still a work in progress, but when snacks are involved? We're optimistic he'll come around. 🐕 A Few Things to Know: • Not for Little Kids: Brady will let you know when he’s feeling overwhelmed with a low growl or a lip lift. For that reason, he’d do best in a home without young children. • Resource Guarder-in-Training: He’s mildly possessive of high-value items like toys and beds. It’s manageable with food-based training (his one true weakness), but it’s best if his adopter is dog-savvy. • Cats = Cool: He’s met the resident cat and they’ve agreed to a friendly ceasefire. Totally chill on both sides. • Dogs = Maybe: He hasn’t been tested extensively with other dogs yet. He might do well with a confident, respectful pup—or he might prefer to be the king of his castle. Either way, he’s open to negotiations. The adoption fee is $300. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Brady, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
