My story

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption fee: $800 Meet Spritzer—a bubbly little ray of sunshine in a fluffy white package!   At 2 years old and 16 lbs, this darling Maltese mix with a soft, non-shedding coat was rescued from a shelter and is now living the good life in her foster home— lounging, learning, playing, and spreading smiles wherever she goes.   Spritzer is the kind of dog who just makes life better. She’s sweet, affectionate (a champion kiss-giver!), and always ready for a walk, a cuddle, or a treat-fueled training session. She has the perfect mix of playful energy and chill vibes—excited for outdoor adventures but just as happy to lounge by your side while you work or relax.   Her daily routine includes morning and evening walks (which she loves), some toy time, plenty of pets, and maybe even a romp with the neighbor’s dogs. Spritzer is smart and eager to please—she already knows sit, paw, and come, and she’s working on her leash manners like a little pro. She’s fully housetrained, too!   She’s been friendly with people of all ages (including gentle kiddos) and is respectful with dogs off-leash—though on-leash she can get a little barky when she spots another pup, something her foster is helping her improve. Spritzer would thrive in a home where people are around to keep her company, take her on walks, and continue her training.   What makes Spritzer sparkle? Her sweet-as-sugar kisses, her gentle and easygoing nature, and the way her eyes light up when she knows she’s done a good job (or spots a treat).   If you’re looking for a snuggly sidekick with a heart of gold, Spritzer is ready to fizz her way into your life!    July 4, 2025, 3:10 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Spritzer, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
