My story

Hi there, I’m Fritz, the Great Pyrenees Lab mix! I’m around 5 years old and a total sweetheart. True to my Great Pyr roots, I am a loyal family companion who loves little kids and does great with other dogs. I’m not going to lie; life has been a bit tough on me until I got to Peak Lab Rescue. I’ve spent the last 3 years of my life in the shelter due to no fault of my own (my foster mom says she can fill you in on some of my background). Despite any hardships I’ve gone through, I am discovering the joy life can bring. Although I might be a bit shy when I meet you, once I know you’re in my pack, I will greet you every day with my signature happy dance! Because I’ve been in the shelter for more than half my life, I’m learning all about living in a real-life home. It’s awesome, but I’m still learning that things like the microwave and dishwasher won’t jump out and get me… I’m getting used to it, though! I’ll just need a family who can give me some time to adjust, and I would LOVE a dog sibling to help show me the ropes. Ready for some humble bragging? I am so respectful of my new life in a home. I am fully potty trained and can be trusted to roam free while my foster family goes out for a few hours. No more crates for me, I’m so happy to find freedom! I don’t chew, and I stay off all the furniture, even though my foster mom keeps trying to get me up on the couch to cuddle with her (she keeps talking about how she’s getting used to not having a velcro dog for the first time). I would love a home with a fenced-in yard. I love to spend time hanging out and watching my property. I’m still learning to walk on a leash, especially in new places, so please keep that in mind! I’ve been checked out by the vet, and I’m recently neutered, so I’m ready to find my forever family! Could that be you? My foster mom would love to tell you allll about how amazing I am!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Fritz Randolph, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
