My story

DOB: May 5, 2024 At first, Meowna Lisa was more mystery than muse—a shy girl from a hoarding situation who preferred shadows over snuggles. But after just over a month in foster care, she has truly metamorphosed into a bold, funny, and curious cat who fills the room with personality. Now a confident whirlwind of whiskers, Meowna zooms through hallways, chats about her day, and declares her presence with a signature “MROW-MROW-I-AM-HERE!” She’s discovered the joy of petting—on her terms—and while she’s not quite ready to be carried like royalty, she’s starting to flirt with the idea of lap time. She responds to her name, confidently claims the dog’s bed, and will try to eat anything not nailed down. You’ve been warned: sandwiches are not safe around her. She loves food—especially soft food, as she doesn’t have many teeth left—and all sense of fear or boundaries disappears when there's a snack in sight. Meowna is extremely social with other cats, sometimes a little too enthusiastic—like that friend at the party who hugs everyone before learning their name. Her affection can be a bit much for more reserved cats, but she means no harm and brings plenty of goofy joy to the mix. Even the dog has been gently sniffed and semi-accepted into her royal court. What Meowna Lisa needs most is a home that understands trust takes time but is so worth the wait. She can live as a solo cat or with a feline friend who won’t mind her boldness—or who can gently remind her to cool it when needed. She’s a survivor with character, curiosity, singing abilities, and a whole lot of love to give. Adopt Meowna Lisa. Because every home needs a little mystery, a lot of joy, and a cat who thinks food is the meaning of life. 📢 Thank you for welcoming a deserving adult cat into your family - From Aug 1-15 our adoption fee is $100 vs. our standard adult cat adoption fee of $225.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Meowna Lisa, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
