My story

LOCATED IN WATERLOO, ON DOB 22 April 2021 DSH white (mostly) with black Microchipped Keds is a sweet, gentle, shy girl who loves to love. This beautiful girl is cautious until she knows you better, but she loves being petted and kissed, and she has a thing for full-body rubs once she's comfy. In just a few weeks at her foster home, Keds now rolls around asking for her whole self to be rubbed, please. And, Keds gets so elated that she can't decide between eating and rubbing against her for loving when she sees her foster mom coming. She is also a quiet and quirky sweetheart. She has a small, sweet voice but doesn't speak very often — purrs and rubs seem to be Keds' language! That's how she speaks when she's comfy, and when she's comfy her quirks show too. One adorable quirk is that she likes to be pet while she eats. And a silly quirk is how much she enjoys lounging in her foster home's empty jacuzzi bathtub. Keds is surprisingly quick and good at jumping despite her size, so she jumps right in and gets comfy. Keds is still nervous about being held but she's warming to it more each day. She grooms herself well, and is a clean girl when she eats and uses the litter box. She splashes her drinking water a bit (maybe a connection with her enjoying the empty bathtub?) but it's cute, and not much fuss to set the water on a tray. She is still discovering toys, but she enjoys her catnip pouches. Both Keds and her bonded sister Puma are healing from the heartbreak and sudden changes of losing their human. So, they would thrive in a more relaxed or peaceful home, with a person or family whose patient, gentle approach will help their hearts continue to heal. Keds and Puma are such sweet, tender souls who really want to share love with a human again, and do once they trust. As they blossom fully in a forever home, the bond nurtured with a loving family will be so wonderful that no words can express it... but maybe purrs can!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Keds, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
