My story

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption fee: $700 Meet Nerf – The Energizer Pup with a Brindle Glow!   Nerf is an 8-9 week old Lab mix with a stunning brindle coat, big puppy eyes, and enough personality to power a small city. He was found as a stray and rescued from the shelter just in time— and now he's living his best foster life, soaking up cuddles, treats, and every toy in sight!   This little dude is as sweet as he is spunky. He’s a classic Velcro pup who wants to be wherever his humans are—especially if it involves snuggles on the couch after a big play session. He’s super smart (he already knows how to sit!) and is quickly learning the ropes of potty training. He even paws at the back door sometimes to go outside— how’s that for progress?   Nerf is full of puppy energy and would thrive in a home ready to match it. He’d love a playful dog sibling his own size or bigger- his big puppy energy might be a bit overwhelming for a tiny chill dog. He’s super friendly with everyone (especially the kids who admire him on stroller walks!) and would thrive in a home with kids who want to play with him - provided they understand the puppy teething phase!   He’s got a hilarious side, too— like the fact that he’s mastered going up stairs but gets adorably stuck trying to get down. And let’s not forget his floppy ears and gorgeous brindle coat that turn heads wherever he goes.   Nerf is ready to find a family who will help guide him through his puppyhood with love, structure, and lots of chew toys.
