My story

Wasabi is a 3-month-old neutered male kitten from the NYC ACC. Wasabi earned his name due to the spice level he was exhibiting at the shelter. He was brought in together with his brother, Jalapeno, and Jalapeno was adopted quickly while Wasabi was left behind. Wasabi had a difficult time at the shelter, unsure how to feel about humans, so it was decided that he needed to go to a foster home for a socialization bootcamp!  Wasabi didn't leave a good first impression when he first arrived at his foster home. He was hissing, yowling, spitting, swatting... and loved to show off how fierce and feral he was! That didn't last long and just a week later, he began to rub against his foster mom's legs asking for pets and became the loudest purring machine!  If you're looking for a kitten with a big personality, Wasabi is the one. He is bold and isn't afraid to let you know what he wants! Wasabi is all about play. He just wants to play, play, play all day and would love to have a feline friend to wrestle with at his forever home.  Wasabi is not a cuddly kitten yet, as he is easily distracted and doesn't stay at one spot for too long. But seeing how lovable he is with people he trusts, we do believe he has the potential to  become a snuggle bug one day! Wasabi is looking for a patient and understanding family who will give him time and space to adjust to a new environment. Wasabi MUST be adopted to a home with an existing resident cat or together with another Waggytail kitten.  Vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the animal is on our website, they are still available.
