My story

Meet Basil, a sweet and sensitive one-year-old with a gentle soul and a playful heart. Basil has grown up with a brother his same age, so he would do well in a home where he has a feline companion or a calm environment where he can feel secure. Basil thrives in a quiet home, as he can be easily stressed by loud noises or sudden changes like closed doors. Because of this, he would do best with calm, older children who understand how to give him space and kindness. Despite his sensitive nature, Basil is incredibly loving and playful. Call his name, and he’ll come running to greet you, ready for affection or a fun play session. His gentle personality makes him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a devoted and affectionate cat. If you’re searching for a loving, gentle, and playful friend, Basil might just be your perfect match. Basil is a black and white shorthair is current on vaccinations, is neutered and is microchipped. Our adoption fee for one altered adult cat (1 year to 7 years old) is $85 which helps cover expenses (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchips, food, housing) for the homeless pets United Animal Friends rescues. There is a discounted adoption fee for a second cat that is adopted at the same time. If you have any questions or to adopt a cat from United Animal Friends (UAF) an application must be filled out. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home. Then follow the UAF website directions below: From the United Animal Friends website: Select "Adoptable Cats" and pick the cat you are interested in. To apply to adopt, open the cat's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started.
