My story

Meet Jim Beans – Your New Favorite Whiskey-Toned House Panther Straight from the streets and into your heart, this sleek black beauty is Jim Beans. He's a dashing gentleman with a name as smooth as the whiskey it riffs on and toe beans as soft as your favorite blanket. Jim Beans came to us at the end of May after being transferred from an overcrowded shelter. We’re not sure what twist of fate landed him there, but we do know he needed a safe place to land and that’s exactly what he found with us. Like many streetwise cats, Jim Beans likely had a rough start and was part of a Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) program (that’s what his tipped ear tells us). But somewhere along the way, someone must’ve realized this guy is too sweet to be sleeping under cars. He’s not meant for alleyways. He’s meant for couches, windowsills and warm laps. After being treated for a common kitty cold, Jim Beans is now fully recovered and ready to pour himself into your life. He’s friendly and carries himself with a gentle confidence. He’s the kind of cat who walks into a room and somehow makes it feel warmer. He may not mix drinks, but he’ll stir your soul. He’s had a mysterious road, but he’s ready to write the next chapter — one that includes you. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times.
