My story

Meet Rosie. She is just an adorable 10 week old Labrador/Bernese Mountain dog mix who is absolutely a joy to have around. She currently weighs 22 lbs but despite her size she still loves being held and loves to curl up in your lap.    A previous mill puppy she is a spunky girl who enjoys playing with her foster brother and sister, her squeaky toys and taking long naps in the sun outside and, of course -  snacks. She is very smart and curious always wanting to be by your side to see what you are doing. She loves all people, including children, and insists on greeting all the dogs in the area when she goes for a walk. She is predicted to grow to about 90 lbs which is a guesstimate - but nonetheless, a big girl   Good with cats: unknown  Good with dogs: yes. She is being fostered with 2 other large breed dogs  Good with kids: yes Good with stranger: yes wants to say hello to everyone  Resource guarding issues: no Housetrained: Not yet. Although she has had very few accidents in the home she is not fully housetrained but is learning to use a doggie doorbell  Crate trained: she did not like the crate and did not require it. She has not been destructive in the home and sleeps the entire night. She is teething but distracting her with toys and chew rings she has not been destructive with anything other than her toys.  Good in the car: she is quiet but does drool a bit. She is getting more comfortable with every car ride  Energy level: med to high Leash skills: she does very well walking with a harness  Known commands: sit, paw & we are currently working on “outside” so she can alert us with the doggy doorbell that she needs the bathroom  Food: 3 cups of Royal Canin large breed puppy 3 x day  June 12, 2025, 8:45 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rosie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
