Roy

My story

Meet Roy, a 10 year old neutered male Pomeranian mix currently being fostered in Waterloo. He weighs about 10 pounds and has a beautiful black and sable coat with a fluffy tail that never stops wagging. He came into rescue after being surrendered to a shelter by his owner. Roy received a complete diagnostic work up by our vet including a cardiac ultrasound, dental and vaccines. He has been diagnosed with collapsing trachea and is on medication for this condition. He enjoys meeting other dogs, visitors and dog- savvy children and has shown no aggression to animals or people. He currently lives with a cat, and they have a respectful relationship. Roy eats wet food and is house trained. He goes outside for bathroom breaks and will also use a pee pad in the house. Roy walks well on the leash and enjoys exploring the fenced backyard. He is not destructive and can be left alone for several hours in the home. He can go up and down stairs on his own. He is not crate trained but enjoys snoozing on a dog bed or on the people bed at night. Roy prefers pets and cuddles instead of treats or toys. Roy’s best home scenario would be a house or apartment with owners who are retired, work part time or from home. He is a very sweet and spunky boy who is accepting of new situations and he’s looking forward to his next chapter!August 26, 2025, 8:01 am
