My story

I have a bit of a special story. Not too long ago, I was just a tiny girl waiting for my time to run out in a city shelter. But someone kind saw me, and gave me a second chance at life. Thanks to them, I’ve learned what safety feels like. And now… I’m dreaming of my forever family. Maybe it’s you? I’m about a year old, a young girl with a gentle heart. I live with other dogs right now—big and small—and I get along with them so well. I love having doggy friends around. They help me feel calm and confident, and I’d do best in a home with another friendly pup to show me the ropes (and share toys with 🐶). I really do love people, but I can be shy at first—especially with strangers or adult men. I just need a little time and a patient heart. When you let me come to you at my own pace, I’ll give you my tail wags, soft eyes, and the sweetest little kisses. With love and gentle understanding, I’ll open up and give you all the affection I’ve been saving. I love going for walks. I’m great on leash and try to match your pace, but if I get excited, I might pull a little—especially if I see a big bird or a barking dog. Still, I’m pretty easy to guide, and I want to be your walking buddy every day. At home, I’m calm and quiet. I barely bark and prefer to stay close by your side, gently leaning into you or lying next to you on the floor. I love to roll around in the grass or snow, and one of my favorite things is watching dogs on TV—yes, really! 📺🐕 I’m a smart girl too! I know basic commands like “sit” and “paw,” and I’ll even gently slip my head into my harness when it’s time to go out. I’m very well-behaved for things like tooth brushing, baths, and vet visits. I do all my potty business outside—100%! I’m used to going out about four times a day, so a regular walk schedule helps me feel my best. More than anything, I’m looking for someone with a quiet heart and a gentle way. If you’re willing to go slow, I’ll meet you with all the love I’ve been saving just for you.
