My story

Meet Gage – The Blue-Eyed Explorer with a Heart of Gold ????Gage is a striking 2-year-old Husky mix with mesmerizing ice-blue eyes and a coat full of wild agouti markings. Found as a stray on 5/27/25, he’s quickly won over shelter staff and volunteers with his social nature and impressive manners. This boy isn’t just beautiful—he’s also incredibly well-rounded. Gage scored high on his behavior evaluation, showing that he’s a gentle, people-oriented pup who interacts appropriately and respectfully. He’s a social butterfly who enjoys attention, and his sweet personality shines when he`s around his people.Gage is dog-friendly and was tested with another dog (Assada), showing excellent manners during the interaction. He’s likely to do best with medium-energy canine companions—he enjoys play and connection but may not mesh well with high-energy dogs that are overly pushy. Small dogs and cats aren’t a fit for this boy’s style, so a home without them would be best.Because of his size and enthusiasm, we recommend a home with children over 6, as Gage could easily knock over smaller kids—even though he’s nothing but a gentle giant. He’d thrive in an active home that can keep up with his physical and mental needs, whether through hikes, walks, playtime, or enrichment games. A secure, fenced-in yard would be ideal for this energetic explorer to stretch his legs and burn off energy safely.Gage would also benefit from positive reinforcement training, which will help channel his smarts and build an even stronger bond with his future family.Ready for adventure, affection, and everything in between—Gage is waiting to meet his forever crew. ??

If you have any questions or would like to adopt GAGE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
