My story

Hi there, I'm Easton. I might not be the first to run up and say hello, but give me a little time and I'll quietly win you over. I am a bit shy and anxious at first, so just be patient with me while I get comfortable. I came to the shelter as a stray, so I've learned to be pretty independent. I like to take things slow, observe the world around me, and enjoy the peace and quiet when I can. That said, I'm not shy about accepting a little love-give me some gentle pets and I'll happily lean in for more. I've been mellow and easygoing here at the shelter for the most part, but when I get excited, I am all in! I think I would do best in a home with calm and respectful children, but some dogs here do seem to overwhelm me a bit. Proper introductions to any new dogs I meet would be a necessity for me. It is a possibility for me have a canine buddy someday though! I am not the type to demand attention, but I'll always be nearby, ready for some companionship.
