George

My story

Sweet and handsome George was recently surrendered to us when he was found wandering around stray. It was later discovered that his owner had moved off-island and left poor George behind, wandering around his neighbourhood. Poor George! Although George was being fed (we suspect that SEVERAL homes were feeding George), he did not have a home of his own. One family tried to take him in, but their existing cat did not like having a new cat in the home. So they called us for help! We are so glad that they did. George is approximately 6 years old. He has been examined by our veterinarian and had his vaccines updated. George has been treated for fleas and parasites, and was tested for FIV / FeLV (negative results). The PURRfect home for George would be with someone who has a LOT of love to give and is looking for a BFFF – Best Feline FURever Friend. George is a total love-bug and rolls onto his back for belly rubs. George is currently being fostered with another cat. He does not seem to be the most comfortable in the presence of the other cat – so we think he may prefer to be the only cat in the home. We understand that George has lived with dogs in the past – however, we have not evaluated him with dogs at the time. George would be a great family cat with respectful children. He loves attention!
