My story

Meet Serci! This beautiful 5-month-old husky was surrendered when her previous owner realized they couldn’t keep up with her needs. She’s full of energy, super playful, and absolutely adores people—your classic young husky. While she’s confident with people, she’s very unsure around other dogs—more fearful than usual for her age. She’ll need slow, positive introductions to calm, friendly dogs to help her build confidence. If you have a dog at home, a meet-and-greet here is a must to make sure it’s a good fit. Serci also isn’t house trained yet and still needs all the basics, so she’ll do best with someone ready to put in the time and patience for puppy training. Serci is looking for an active home where she can get the exercise, guidance, and support she needs to grow into a well-rounded adult. She’s got tons of potential and just needs the right people to help her shine. If you're ready to adopt now: Come on in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30-3:00! We are often on the line with another client, but we return voice mail and emails within 24 hours. All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations - heartworm test -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
