My story

Meet Anayia, a 4-year-old Shih Tzu with a big personality and a lot to say. This spunky little pup is playful, outgoing, and always ready for a walk around the block. She’s quick to make friends with new people and is especially proud of her signature trick—shaking your hand like a proper lady. Anayia’s previous owner had to make the difficult decision to surrender her due to health reasons, so now she’s looking for a new family to spoil her. She’s done well with visiting children, but hasn’t met other dogs or cats yet, so we’re not sure how she’d feel about them. Fair warning: Anayia is not a quiet dog. She loves the sound of her own voice and isn’t shy about sharing her opinions—frequently and loudly. If you live in an apartment or have noise-sensitive neighbors, she may not be the best match. But if you’ve got a sense of humor, a soft spot for sassy small dogs, and a home where her chatter won’t cause trouble, Anayia might be just your girl. We are often on the line with another client, but we return voice mail and emails within 24 hours. All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations - heartworm test -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
