I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:13Koko is a gentle, soulful 8-year-old German Shepherd who seems a bit lost in her new surroundings. With soft eyes and a worried face, she walks politely on leash, quietly scanning her environment like she's searching for something familiar. Though hesitant with treats and unsure about affection, she'll lean in when you kneel down and speak softly, pressing her head into your hand as if asking for comfort. Koko isn't reactive to other dogs and shows signs of trust with calm, patient handling. She's looking for a quiet home where she can feel safe, settle in, and remember what it means to belong.
